Transparent PNG problem

Hello,

I use Advanced Installer 9.9 Enterprise edition for creation of Enhanced UI standalone installers for headliner product of my company.
Recently I've encountered a problem: I have an Image control on one of my dialogs in Enhanced UI (I use fully custom theme based on Graphite) which shows .png image with transparent regions. On machines with 32-bit display color mode it looks as expected, but if color mode is lower (24-bit or 16-bit), transparent regions of the image appear in black.
Can you suggest any solution to my problem? This image should look correctly at least in 24-bit color mode, which is most popular among our customers.

Best regards,
Daniel.

Re: Transparent PNG problem

Hi Daniel,

We implement transparency using Alpha channel support, not masks. Alpha channel transparency is possible if you have at least 32-bit color mode. Unfortunately for lower modes you will always get the black background.

Re: Transparent PNG problem

Hello, Bogdan,

Thanks for your explanation, I think we use modified images without transparent regions as workaround.

Best regards,
Daniel.
