Problems With Changing Files And Building Updated Installer

I have two installers I built a while back using version 8.6 of Advanced Installer. They search for installed versions of Adobe Photoshop and place a few plugins into Adobe Photoshop. They also place a few folders and other files on the end users machine. I didn't want to redo them from scratch so just decided to update the files the installer needs with newer versions.

Now, when building the updated installer I get no errors, the build process completes, yet what's generated is a file with 0 bytes? Nothing has been written to it and the icon itself is a generic Windows icon?

Any clue as to why the installer doesn't actually build?

I just decided to create them again as a new file.

Re: Problems With Changing Files And Building Updated Instal

Hello,

I'm not sure why this happens. Can you send us the .AIP (project file) and all its dependency files to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can try to reproduce and investigate this? Also, it would be useful if you could reproduce this in a sample project or if you can give us a detailed step by step test case scenario which reproduces this behavior.

All the best,
Daniel
