Software Identification Tag (swidtag) files not removed after a repair

If a repair is performed, the .swidtag files are left behind after an uninstall (both in the "Application Folder" and "Common Application Data" directories).

Hello,

I'm not sure why you encountered the this behavior.
In order to have a better view about this, can you please send us the .AIP (project file) and a verbose log of the uninstall process to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate it? If it contains confidential information you can send us a small test project which reproduce this behavior.

Best regards,
Dan

I was able to reproduce this with a blank project -- just turn on Software Identification. Do you not see this behavior?

Hello Steve,

First of all I apologize for our delayed reply. This thread it seems it was somehow overlooked.

Indeed, this is an Advanced Installer issue. A fix will be available in a future version of Advanced Installer, thank you for bringing it to our attention. We'll update this thread when the fix will be released.

All the best,
Daniel
