Unable to re-add custom dialog from repository under certain conditions

Under certain conditions you can’t re-add a custom dialog from the repository. This happens under this scenario, in an existing project add a custom dialog then duplicate it. Deleted both copies from project and tried to re-add. You are able to select the custom dialog from the repository but it will not get added. I found a work around by editing the project AIP file and removing all references to the custom dialog name.

It will be nice to be able to add custom dialog more than once per project especially on a large project. Duplicating the dialog seem too worked for us but now is no longer a viable solution. Our custom dialogs get updated and we can’t re-add them back to project easily if they have been duplicated.

We were indeed able to replicate this behavior, thank you for bringing it to our attention.

It looks like a bug but we'll have to investigate. I added this thread on the issue and we'll get back to you when we have something conclusive.

This was fixed in version 14.4 of Advanced Installer released on October 26st, 2017.
