Label not Visible on dark Background without bootstrap

Hello,
I've build an setup for both bootstrap an MSI file with a relatively back background.
On this background a label should be display with the value off PrimaryVolumeSpaceAvailable.
This works great with the bootstraper setup.
With the MSI Setup, the Label ist not readable when
Format Size
is activated.
Label with wrong Color when Format Size has been activated

Hello,

I'm not sure why but the screenshot you tried to attach was not saved for your post. Can you please try to attach again the related screenshot?

Or even better, could you please send us your .AIP (project file) to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate it?

All the best,
Daniel

Re: Label not Visible on dark Background without bootstrap

Hello,

Please note that all our themes excepting the "Classic" one require the "Enhanced User Interface" feature to be enabled. Also the EUI feature can be handled only by an EXE package type. When using the MSI file the EUI is off therefore the themes requiring EUI enabled may misbehave.

Long story short, you should always use the EXE bootstrapper when using any other theme different than the "Classic" one.

All the best,
Daniel

Thank you for your reply.
Another usefull feature for the bootstrap are the Pre-Install prerequisits.
When I'm just deliver an MSI file, can I be sure that the correct version of Windows Installer has be installed and the correct .Net framework?
Can I also include a web install for that .Net framework?
Can Advanced Installer deliver a separate "setup.exe" which act as bootstrap and launch the MSI after checkin all that pre-requisit?

Regards, Éric.

Hello Éric,

Yes, you can build an EXE setup which includes the required version of .Net Framework and Windows Installer added as pre-install prerequisites. Then after the above prerequisite you could add your MSI package as the last pre-install prerequisite in list. The prerequisites are installed depending on the order they are listed on "Prerequisites" page like this: the top listed prerequisite is installed the first and the bottom listed one is installed the last.

All the best,
Daniel
