One of our developers is already working on fixing this issue, but we cannot say for sure if it will be ready for the next release of Advanced Installer.
I'm afraid that the fix was not ready and it was not included in the 14.6 version. However we hope to be ready for the next version of Advanced Installer.
We deeply investigated this problem and found the solution for this problem. Since your features are installed based on a property, you need to implement the steps below:
- select the "Set persistent property" option for that property, so the selected feature will be preserved for the next version
- go in the "Upgrades" page and select the "Customize Advanced Installer upgrade rules" option
- double-click on the "OLDPRODUCTS" rule and uncheck the "Enable Migrate Features action" option from the "Upgrade Action" tab
In this case, if a feature is installed at first install, it will be also selected for installation during the upgrade, but if the user deselects it and selects another feature, the user's choices will be followed.
