Build in Visual Studio GUI works, but command-line build skips AI project

I'm having the the same problems described in here: viewtopic.php?t=31376

I'm using the plugin for automated builds and when I run the GUI of Visual Studio the installer runs without problems. But, when I start it from command prompt, it skips the compilation with the message:

error : Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Note: I'm using Visual Studio 2013 and 2017 and Advanced Installer 14.7.

Can you please give us an example of the command line you call to build your VS solution which fails?

Also, if you could isolate the issue in a small sample and attach it here or send it us to support at advancedinstaller dot com this will be great.
