Installing SQL Express 2017 From Command Line

Hello,

I'm trying to install SQL2016 or 2017 as post install pre-requisite. The installer fires up and gets so far but then just seems to hang forever (see attached)

My command line is:
/SkipInstallerRunCheck /SkipRules=RebootRequiredCheck /IACCEPTROPENLICENSETERMS /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ConfigurationFile=[#p1sqlconfig.ini]

Any help appreciated.

Dave

Re: Installing SQL Express 2017 From Command Line

Hello Dave and welcome to our forums,

This could happen if you didn't add your SQL prerequisites as pre-install prerequisites. There are know problems with SQL prerequisites installation when scheduled as feature-based prerequisites.

Let us know if this helped.

All the best,
