Dynamic Start Time option not available in Scheduled Task.

Fri Jul 06, 2018 11:36 am

My application is fully based on Scheduled Task.

I would like my application to start the execution of the executable files after respective task is added to task scheduler.

But, in the scheduled tasks tab, there is no option of dynamically giving [ time at installation ] start time.

I don't want the task to wait till the start time.
once the task is added to task scheduler, at the next instance the task should start.

Is there a way to do this? or any other alternative way.

Thank You

Hi and welcome to our forums.

I apologize for the delayed reply.

Indeed, we do not have support for starting a scheduled task at creation time. I added this improvement on our TODO list and it will be available in a future version of Advanced Installer. Thank you for your suggestion.

Meanwhile, you can create your scheduled task with the desired options from the command line as detailed in the "Updater mechanisim" thread.

Let me know if you have other questions.
