Start menu shortcuts appear empty

Thu Nov 01, 2018 6:52 pm

Hi,

I can't get my application shortcut to show up under the start menu. After installation all I see is a folder with my application name on it and an arrow indicating I should expand it. But pressing it does nothing. I guess the folder is empty, but it shouldn't be. This is usually really easy and works in other projects I have made, but not in this one. I tried removing it and putting it back but no luck. What could be wrong?

I do have some warning that I don't know how to fix. Are they related to this issue? What do they mean? How to fix them?

Hello Jan,

I am not so sure why this happens. Could you please send us by email to support at advancedinstaller dot com the following resources:

1. the .AIP (setup project file)
2. a verbose log of the installation which replicates the behavior
3. a build log of your setup project

so we can investigate this?

All the best,
Daniel

H,

I tried installing the app on another server, there it works. Must be something wrong with my server. I think we can close this case.

Jan
