Signing with Smart Card - Too Many Password Prompts

Hi Team,

I'm using DigiCert EV Code Signing for signing my libraries/exe files. Since its EV, I need to use a Smart Card for Signing.

Whenever I try to Build the Project in AI with Code Sign, it prompts me many number of times to input the Password (8-10 times). This is really frustrating to input the password so many times. I've seen an old article (link pasted below) and would like to get some update on how this irritating step can be avoided.

Hello Ravi,

Indeed, when using EV certificates with private key stored on a USB dongle you will get prompted for the password at each file signing operation. This is due to the design of how the EV certificates works.

To avoid this behavior you could get and install SafeNet Authentication Client V10.3 or later, and go into the "Advanced settings" –> "Client settings" –> "Enable single Logon" and enable this option.

So from a project view and Digital Signatures Dialogue, where abouts do you store the password in the project once the setting has been enabled?
This is because our build process is automated.

I have successfully (manually hit the build button) entered the password manually during build and it built ok. I guess kind of like the use file from disk
option where you could point to the file and set the password.
