Error with AzureDevOps (VSTS) Use AI not installing

Howdy,

I'm trying to get the Advanced installer agent tasks to install 15.6 and I keep receiving a failure when running the Use Advanced Installer action:

Windows Installer appears to be installed properly and it appears to work as I installed several third-party libraries without issue. This is on a customer build agent using the 64-bit build agent.

Any idea as to what may be the cause of the problem?

Hello and welcome to our forums,

I am not so sure why this happens. Can you please try using the Hosted VS2017 Microsoft agent and let us know if this helped?

Otherwise can you please send us the full build log by email to support at advancedinstaller dot com and some screenshots with yuor build agent and build pipelines configuration?

We cleared up a few issues without custom build machine and poof its working.
