Invalid Drive Error

Wed Mar 13, 2019 3:46 pm

I have a user that is getting this error when they run one of my installers:
S drive.jpg
S drive.jpg (17.49KiB)Viewed 4122 times
The problem is that my installer doesn't reference an S drive anywhere (or anywhere that I have put in anyway). It also works on many other machines including mine that don't have an S drive so it seems to be something specific to this machine.

Can you tell me what would cause this and where would it be getting a reference to an S drive?

Hello Faust,

This is, indeed, a strange behavior. This error is usually spawned when you try to reference a drive that does not exist on the user's machine. However, if you say you have never referenced such a drive in your project, I am not sure what may be the cause of this.

In order for me to further investigate this, could you please forward me the following:

- the installation log from the user's machine.
- the .AIP project
- the setup that was built using the earlier specified .AIP file

by e-mail at support at advancedinstaller dot com?

Getting the log from the user. Sorry, for some reason it didn't notify me that there was a reply...

Hello Faust,

No problem. Just send the files over by e-mail when you get the log file from your user.
