Advanced Installer 16.2 msi file size

Hello,

I switched to Advanced Installer 16.2 (the last version I used was 13.4) and now my msi file is almost double the size comparing to the last version.
Is that a known issue?

Hello and welcome to Advanced Installer forums,

With every Advanced Installer release, new features are added. Some of those features extends the size of our resources (EXE files, .DLL files) that are automatically embedded in the MSI that you build with Advanced Installer. However, the size difference should not be notable (it should be around 100, 200, 300 KB). As a matter of fact, I have just tested this scenario using an empty project (first built with AI 13.4, then built with AI 16.3) and the size difference was ~200KB.

However, if the size difference is bigger than that in your case, could you please forward me the following resources:

- the .AIP file used to build your files.

- a download link for the old .MSI file (the one built with 13.4)

- a download link for the new .MSI file (the one built with 16.2)

by e-mail at support at advancedinstaller dot com so I can further investigate this?
