Could you please try to set the UAC to "Normal" (third option from bottom to top) and let me know if you still encounter this issue on your dev machine?
I know this may be a little annoying and I apologize for this, but since I can not reproduce this on my side and this also does not seem to be related to Advanced Installer, taking little steps like this and trying to isolate the behavior is the only option we have.
Please let me know if the behavior is the same when setting the UAC level to "Normal".

There is not a "general" solution for this, because it depends on your scenario. For instance, for Gerry (the OP) this was a quite strange behavior that occured on this developer machine (I can not say for sure what was triggering it).
Is your .EXE setup signed? If so, is the MSI signed with the same certificate?
If not, please have a look over the following FAQ (this is the most common trigger for the error):
Why the "Are you sure you want to cancel installation" message is thrown after clicking the [ Install ] button?

Hi Advanced Installer team!
We are facing the same situation described by gcb_toronto. Until last week everything was fine but after a new build of this EXE (same aip) and for an unknown reason the EXE return the 'Are you sure you want to cancel the installation?' during the install (same VM as before).
I tried to rebuild the exe without digital signature, but the result is the same.
In attachment you can find a log from an install where the problem occurs. I tried to upload a log from a correct install but the file seems to be too big to be uploaded (compressed: 1779KB ).

Hi,
Problem solved. The behavior described above happened because the msi was built with the last version of Advanced Installer.
When using a 20.9.1 version everything back to normal.
