How to modify .exe metadata on Java Application

Hi.

I am using Advanced Installer 17.6 to create an installer for a Java application. The package type is an executable.

I would like to know whether there is a possibility to customize the .exe metadata on a Java application like it is possible to do it on the installer .exe file?

There is a post in this forum with the title "How to modify the Copyright on a Java Application" from almost 3 years ago, where it is mentioned that it might be possible in future (at that point) versions of Advanced Installer to change the metadata like copyright on Java applications. Is it hidden somewhere, where I did not find it yet?

Unfortunately, this enhancement has not yet been added to Advanced Installer.

I have increased its' priority now and hopefully it will be added in a future version of Advanced Installer.

Hi.

As far as I can see the enhancement of being able to edit the .exe metadata on Java applications in a similar way as on the installer .exe files is still not implemented (I have looked in Advanced Installer 20.2). Is there any possibility that this feature will be available at some point?

Hello Anna,

I'm afraid you are right, this still hasn't been implemented.

Due to the fact that it had kind of a low priority, it looks like it was moved in the backlog of the developer.

I have now reassigned it to another developer and we will try to implement this in a future version of Advanced Installer.

I will update this thread once the improvement will be available.
