Unable to install newer MSI, another version of this product is installed

Hello,

So when I try to install a newer version of the MSI I get the following error.

Error Message

I triple checked the following setting. The old version of the application should be stopped and removed as part of the install.

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

This problem may appear if the Product Code of the two versions of your product is identical or if their version number is the same.

Thanks for this, it was the product code.

Renaming the MSI also generates a new code.
