Intune Deploy Tool Credentials

Hello,

I have a valid MEM/Intune account (https://endpoint.microsoft.com/), but am not able to use your tool. Each time I launch the Intune Deploy Tool 18.0, i receive 'Intune Authentication Failed' after entering my credentials with no further indication as to what may be wrong.

Your documentation page here doesn't cover login at all: https://www.advancedinstaller.com/user- ... izard.html

Your feature video here is basic and out of date, as https://portal.azure.com is no longer used for Apps: https://www.advancedinstaller.com/intune.html

Here are my questions:

Can you clarify what format your tool expects? In the video above it appears you are using someuser@contoso.onmicrosoft.com. Would someuser@contoso.com also work?

My Intune account is configured with 2FA, does your tool function with 2FA enabled?

Can you also clarify if there are any additional permissions/roles required before this tool will function?

Re: Intune Deploy Tool Credentials

Hello,

It looks like one of my colleagues already reported this issue a while ago.

The root cause of this seems to be the MFA (Multi-factor authentication), in your case 2FA.

I will update this thread as soon as this issue will be fixed.

Best regards,
Catalin

Re: Intune Deploy Tool Credentials

Hi Catalin,

We run in to the same issue as described above, when trying to connect with our Intune environment using the Intune Deployment Tool we get the authentication failed error as we are using MFA for our Administrator accounts.
Is there any update available about this topic?

Thank you in advance!
Kind regards,
Jeroen

Re: Intune Deploy Tool Credentials

Hello Jeroen and welcome to our forums,

Unfortunately, this enhancement has not yet been implemented in Advanced installer.

However, I have now increased its' priority and hopefully it will be implemented in a future version of Advanced Installer.

Best regards,
Liviu
