IIS not configured during installation

Hello,

I would like to raise an issue about IIS.
In my package, by selecting Feature "IIS Configuration" installation package (until now) created Pools and Apps to be used.

All these features to be add into IIS have a Replace/Rollback settings.
So if previous version is installed, it is correctly recognized and installation asks for a confirmation to Overwrite these features.

But after upgrade from 17.4 to 18.2 it seems that if it is no longer installed on "empty" IIS.

Kind regards,
Honza

Re: IIS not configured during installation

Hello Honza,

Thank you for the provided resources.

From the log file, it looks like taw_IIS feature is scheduled for installation and I also noticed you have conditioned the AI_IISInstall action to only execute if the feature is installed, therefore your IIS website should be installed.

I do not quite understand what you mean by this:
it seems that if it is no longer installed on "empty" IIS.
Could you please give me some more details about this?

Additionally, could you please forward me a download link for the setup project and a test-case (if necessary) by e-mail at support at advancedinstaller dot com so I can further investigate this?

Best regards,
Catalin

Re: IIS not configured during installation

Hi Catalyn,

I am sorry to bother you but the problem was traced to wrongly configured IIS on my testing machine.
It works fine on other machines.

Please delete this thread, it is no longer useful and truthful.

Kind regards,
Honza
