edit ini file

Thu Dec 02, 2021 4:05 pm

when editing ini file the file will be saved different as it was loaded
the sections will be saved according to ABC
for the code- it has no meaning but for the used who is used to see the data in certain order- it is problematic.

there is a way to maintain the file order and just add the needed sections?

Hello and welcome to our forums,

I am not quite sure I understand your scenario.

If possible, could you please give me some more details (maybe exemplify with some screenshots)?

Best regards,

Hello,

Thank you for providing these sample INI files.

After having a look over them, I could indeed understand your scenario.

Unfortunately, I can not say for sure why this is happening.

I will update this thread as soon as I'll have a conclusive answer about this behavior.

Best regards,

Hello,

After further investigations and discussions with our dev team, it looks like it is the Windows Installer Engine that writes the .INI file to the disk from the rows in the "IniFile" table.

Unfortunately, we have no control over that.
