RTF File Validation warning (Invalid rtf file format)

Fri Apr 01, 2022 12:48 pm

Dear Advanced Installer Support Team,

Since we upgraded our product to use AI version 19.2 the following warning are displayed at build time:
WARNING: RTF File Validation. LicenseAgreementDlg2#AgreementText_JP Invalid rtf file format
WARNING: RTF File Validation. LicenseAgreementDlg2#AgreementText_EU Invalid rtf file format
WARNING: RTF File Validation. LicenseAgreementDlg2#AgreementText_CA Invalid rtf file format
WARNING: RTF File Validation. LicenseAgreementDlg2#AgreementText_US Invalid rtf file format

I see in the release notes of AI 19.2 that you added a new feature and validate the .rtf files from now on:
"Validate at build time whether the RTF file used on "LicenseAgreementDlg" is a valid RTF file"

How is that validation happening? How could we make sure that our .rtf is "valid"? We would like to get rid of those warnings. :)

Best regards,
Zsolt Kollarits

Hello Zsolt,

This is an issue on our side and it was already fixed. You should not worry about that, is just a warning message because there was a problem with the path variable cases on the RTF file validation.

The fix will be included in our next major release that should be out by the end of this month.

As soon as this will be available we will notify you on this forum thread.

Best regards,
Liviu
