reloading updated files.

How can I force AI to pickup newly updated files without having to delete them from the package and add them again ?
It doesn't seem to be doing that and it's quite a hassle having to delete the files then add them again including any shortcuts etc.

Or am I just doing something wrong ?

Thanks.

Hi Domingo,

In order to force Advanced Installer to rebuild the .msi file when some of the installation files have changed you don't have to remove and readd the files to the project.

All you have to do is remove the .msi from disk and Advanced Installer will rebuild it including the updated files.

You need to do that because currently the dependency mechanism is not very sophysticated: it only checks the date on the .aip and .msi. Thus a file update is not detected.

We'll change the model in the future but for now, the best way is to simply delete the .msi then rebuild it.

Best regards,
Cata
