Can't find DBGhelp.dll

Thu May 01, 2003 10:21 am

Hi,

If I try to run Advanced Installer, i'll get the message " Can't find DbgHelp.dll in you system directory". There are no install failures. Dbghelp.dll doesn't exist on my harddisk.

greetings

Roger

Hello Roger,

You're getting this error because not all the Windows operating systems contain the DbgHelp.dll. Advanced Installer works only on Windows 2000/XP.

What operating system are you using?

Does this go for the MSI files it creates, also? (not having a Win9X machine to test on, myself..) :)

No, the msi files that Advanced Installer creates will run on any Windows operating system: 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP.

The only requirement is that on the Win9X platforms the Windows Installer 2.0 package must already be installed.
