Once I installed and uninstalled version 1.0.0.0.
Since than, I cannot install version 0.8.8.8 and I get message that "More recent version is already installed"...
How can I fix that?

Most likely the package wasn't uninstalled completely .
To remove the broken installation you can try one of the solutions given in this article :
