Is there any way simple or complicated to make a Linux and MacOS installer package?
Please post the way step by step!

Unfortunately, we do not have support for creating packages for Linux, but we do have support to create packages for MacOS. Here are some links which will guide you step-by-step in creating your MacOS package:

But this is only available for Java applications!

What about other application types?

Yes, unfortunately our Mac OS X package supports only java applications. We do not have support for other application types.

Hello,

It seems that 2 years have been passed since this question was asked. Could I please revive this and ask if any further developments will support a MacOS application that doesn't use Java?

Specifically, Mono for .NET can be used now with MacOS so I was wondering if it was possible to make an install package with my usual .NET application along with packaging Mono (manually if necessary within the deployment folder structure).

Hello and welcome to our forums,

Unfortunately, as for this moment, our Mac OS package supports only Java applications.

I have added this improvement on our TODO list and hopefully this will be implemented in a future version of Advanced Installer. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Please note, however, that this has quite a low priority at this moment, as it was not highly requested by our users.

I will update this thread as soon as this improvement will be added to Advanced Installer.

Can whether it is possible to simply add a bundle with a collection of files (including Mono) but omit the deployment of Java?
If this is possible then I believe a Mac package can be built... or is the limitation with AI the fact that you are forced to deploy Java with every MacOS installation? If the latter, wouldn't it be just a matter of removing this requirement from your software?

Unfortunately, I am afraid that is not possible.

Advanced Installer can only create Java zipped packages for Mac OS, therefore the limitation of only packaging Java applications.
