Im having a bit of trouble with this.

When using a network location, can i use a location that isnt mapped like

instead of

we dont a mapped drives with an assigned letter, we use the full UNC path. i need to put my updates.txt file & update.exe into a network folder location and tell my installer & updater to look in the network folder.

currently im getting an error 'Checking for Updates - The system cannot find the path specified'

Yes, this should be possible.

Did you checked the forum thread I posted to you in another thread you opened? There was an example of this scenario.

Please check my reply with detailed steps on the forum thread here.

You can use a location like this: "file://\\DESKTOP-MUA5C29\updater\updates.txt". Just add the double backslash before your location name.

Hope this helps!
