Theme 'BlackSurface' - Change Color of Window Header

Fri May 11, 2018 9:23 am

Hi,
I have created an package with "BlackSurface" Theme. When I run the setup wizard, the window header is always white:

I have other packages, where the header is black.

:?: How can I change the header from white to black? I can't find the setting.

Thanks so far!

Hi,

Please read the "Why are my dialogs and controls not displayed correctly" FAQ which should help you.

Thanks for the fast response!
I checked the package type - it is 'Single EXE setup (resources inside)'.

:?: Is there another setting wich I can check?

Hi,

Can you go in the "Themes" page, "Settings" tab, set the "Enhanced User Interface" feature to "Always" and test your package again to see if the problem persists?

Hi Eusebiu,
I'm using AI Professional 14.0.2. Heres are screenshots of my configuration:

:?: Is there anything wrong? Are there other settings, which I could check?

PS: In this AI Project there is only one Build defined - so I can roule out, that I am checking the settings for the wrong build. ;)

Hi,

Your settings seem correct, but I'm not sure why you encounter this problem. Please send me your project to support at advancedinstaller dot com, so I can investigate it.

Hi,

I tested your project and, indeed, I reproduced the behavior, but I'm not sure why this happens. Did you modify the project manually in a text editor?

In order to fix it, you can choose another theme, then switch back to the "Black Surface" theme. However, please note that dialogs will be reset to default in the "Dialogs" page.

Thanks a lot - your workaround fixed the problem!

I started this package a long time ago. I don't think that I have done changes with texteditor, but at the beginning switched between differen themes.

This did not work for me though. What else can I try to have a black title bar?

Best wishes

Hello Federica,

This is quite strange, indeed.

If you create a new project with the BlackSurface theme, are you still able to replicate this behavior?

As my colleague Eusebiu previously asked, did you perform any manual modifications on the AIP file?

Hello Catalin,

thank you for your reply.
I haven't changed the .aip file manually.
If I create a new project with the theme black surface and change the color of the frame caption, then it works, but I would rather avoid recreating an entirely new project that is just a copy of the one I already have. So if there is any other thing I can try I would give it a shot.

Thank you
Federica

Hello Federica,

This is quite strange, indeed.

To be fully honest with you, I can not think of anything here, especially since this works on new projects.

Most likely, you have modified something manually in your .AIP file, but I can not tell what exactly.

Could you please forward me a copy of your .AIP file by email at support at advancedinstaller dot com so I can have a look and see whether I can find something?

Best regards,
Catalin
