When the installer checks for updates, it displays a very simple dialog.
The user cannot read the release descriptions or feature list. How can I display the enhanced updates dialog during install?
I'm afraid this is the standard behavior and you cannot achieve what you want. The user cannot read the release descriptions or feature list. How can I display the enhanced updates dialog during install?
We'll try to add an improvement regarding this. Thank you for your suggestion. Also, if the user cancels the download of the update, they get a confusing error message. Can this dialog be made nicer?
Indeed, this seems to be an Advanced Installer issue. A fix will be available in a future version of Advanced Installer, thank you for bringing it to our attention.I just noticed that if the user selects "Retry" it doesn't retry. It just jumps to the current install wizard and skips the retry of the download.
I'm afraid that a fix for this issue has not been implemented in an Advanced Installer release yet. However, I increased its priority and hopefully it will be available soon.I just realized I had posted about this issue previously and forgotten.
This is still not fixed even after your new releases.
You can see a response on our "Error trying to update from setup" thread.I cannot use the autoupdate from the installer. It's simply broken. Has it ever worked?
I'm frustrated because I was depending on this feature.
