DB files installed into 'Program Files' read only

Hi!

I hope someone out there can help! When I build my installer, which copies an MS Access .accdb file into my application folder under C:\Program Files, the .accdb becomes automatically 'read only'. This only happens on my Windows 10 machines, and not my Windows 7 machines. I've tried playing around with the Permissions inside the AI project file for the .accdb in question, but I can't seem to configure in a way that works for the user once it's installed. Does anyone have any tips please? Cheers.

Hello,

I've tested your scenario but I cannot replicate it. Can you please tell us if you can replicate the behavior on a clean Windows 10 machine? Also, for testing we highly recommend virtual machines, you can easily restore them to a clean snapshot and save a lot of time on testing.

If YES, please send us a sample project that replicates this behavior to support at advancedinstaller dot com so that we can test on our end.

Best regards,
