Add remove logo, and serial number for setup file

Good Day!

I am new to "Advanced Installer", and this forum. This is my first post here.

I have 2 questions as bellow:

* Question-1:

Can I use or protect the setup file that I am building with Advanced Installer, with a serial number?

* Question-2:

Can I remove the "Advanced Installer" logo from the setup file, just keep it blank? Or can I use my own logo? Please see the screenshot bellow:

Yes, you can achieve this by selecting the "Use Serial Validation" option from the "Licensing" page.

Can I remove the "Advanced Installer" logo from the setup file, just keep it blank? Or can I use my own logo?

In order to removed the "Advanced Installer" label you can proceed as discussed in the "Advance Installer Watermark remove help SOLVED" thread. You can also replace it with your own label or logo.

I was playing with serial protection these days. All are working fine. I am learning.

Is it possible to show a "Thank You" messagebox or dialog, if the serial matches?

Hi Rabiul,

Yes, you can display a message when a correct serial key is introduced by the user. For this, you can add a "Display message box" custom action without sequence in the "Custom Actions" page, then trigger it on the "Next" button of the "UserRegistrationDlg" dialog and set the following condition for it:

They should get you started with efficiently using Advanced Installer to deploy your application.

Thank you for the advise. I shall take a look. And yes, indeed it is complex.

Why do you not make an offline help? I like the old *.chm, *.hlp file. For me the best help file is Delphi 7 help file and php help file. Description, and a little example. I don't like these days online help files. Where does it start, where is index etc. etc, I can't figure it out. Different program has their own style help file. No standard help file. May be I have become old & obsolete for these. I also think, that software industry is dying, and no fun as it was once. Bloatware era.

Hi Rabiul,

There is also an offline help file (.chm file) at the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Caphyon\Advanced Installer 14.6\advinst.chm

That help can also be accessed by pressing the "F1" keyboard when the Advanced Installer application is open.
