i would like to create an installer that will create a virtual machine on Hyper-v (windows 10 feature) and will install linux os (Ubuntu/Centos) and other softwares on VM. does Advanced installer support this? or the way to get through it is with powershell custom actions ?

To be fully honest with you, I have never tried to do such a task with Advanced Installer.
In what regards predefined support for this, unfortunately, we do not offer it. However, theoretically, everything should be achievable through custom actions. So the answer to this is yes, you should be able to do that (if that is achievable outside of Advanced Installer - for ex. through a PowerShell script, VBScript, .BAT file etc.).
