How can i set a Version from a file ?

I have right clicked on the Version text box and selected set from file, but it says its not compatible.
The fileis just a text file with a version number like , 20.1.1.10.
Does it need to be a key-value pair ?
thanks

Re: How can i set a Version from a file ?

Hello,

Please note that a .txt file can not be versioned.

If you want to use the "version from file" option, please select a .EXE/.DLL file. Of course, the executable/dll should have a version in this case.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
