SQL connection test successful without username and password?

When you don't check the option 'Trusted Connection' in the database dialog, AND don't provide any credentials (username, password), the operation 'Test SQL Connection' passes successfully.

Is this by design, and can you change that behaviour? It leads to a bit of confusion...

Re: SQL connection test successful without username and password?

Hello,

I have tested this and I was indeed able to reproduce it.

Unfortunately, I cannot say for sure why this happens or whether this is the expected behavior or not.

I will update this thread as soon as I will receive an answer from our development team.

Best regards,

Re: SQL connection test successful without username and password?

Hello,

I have discussed this with our development team and it looks like this behavior is caused by the SQL driver itself.
can you change that behaviour?
I'm afraid there isn't much that can be done regarding this.
