Limit User Interface for Install only

Hi,

Is it possible to limit user interface for Install only? And leave full user interface for Maintenance and Uninstall?
If I limit to basic User Interface in Installation Options, I can not uninstall my software in Control Panel -> Uninstall. It just shows simple progress bar and hangs, nothing happens.

Hello Tanya,

I'm afraid that it is not possible to enable Basic UI only in install and disable it on uninstall.

Can you try to create a verbose log on the uninstall using one of the methods described in the "Install Logs for .exe Project" thread to see why the uninstallation hangs?

I launched application with /qb parameter and it limited User Interaction. And on Uninstall from Control Panel I have full UI.

Indeed, if you send the /qb parameter on install, it will not be also used on uninstall, but the "Limit to basic user interface" option from the "Install Parameters" page will affect the install and uninstall, as well.
