app-v and dlls that run in Dllhost.exe

Tue Oct 20, 2020 9:35 pm

application which uses COM DLL surrogate virtualization, i.e. DLL’s that run in Dllhost.exe, does not work properly in App-V Environment.

How are you able to determine if an application uses DLL’s that run in Dllhost.exe ?

Hello and welcome to our forums,
How are you able to determine if an application uses DLL’s that run in Dllhost.exe ?
Unfortunately, I can not really say what the logic behind this is, because this is pretty much how App-V works (it is not really something that we do specifically).

The application runs in some sort of a bubble, isolated from the other applications.
