Changing the default location for storing .aip project files

On installing AI it sets the aip project storage folder to ..[User}Documents\Advance Installer. I would like to change the default to another directory on another disk.

How do I change this?

Re: Changing the default location for storing .aip project files

Hello,

You can change that location from the Registry.

Here's the location:

Code: Select all

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Caphyon\Advanced Installer\Settings
and the key name is "Project Load Save Folder".

Hope this helps!

Are you sure?
At present the registry entry you mention is pointing to the currently in use project folder ...
"C:\Users\*****\Documents\Advanced Installer\Projects\#######"

Hello,
Are you sure?
I am pretty sure, yes, as I've tested this as well.

If you change the registry path then the next time you will save your Advanced Installer project, it should be saved in the new path.
