How to delete an existing project

Wed Aug 22, 2012 10:21 am

Hi

Wonder if anyone can help please?

I have created several projects using advanced installer and they have all work first time. I find Advanced Installer easy to use but I have found it impossible to delete a project.

When I run Advance Installer l get a window displayed showing all recent projects. To try and delete a project l have tried deleting the project directory but l still get the project name display in the recent project 'Open' window.

What is the correct way to delete a project?

How can l remove deleted project names from the recent project list in the 'Open' window?

Regards
Ian Calder

Hello Ian,
When I run Advance Installer l get a window displayed showing all recent projects. To try and delete a project l have tried deleting the project directory but l still get the project name display in the recent project 'Open' window.
Please keep in mind this is the normal behavior.
How can l remove deleted project names from the recent project list in the 'Open' window?
In order to achieve this you can simply delete the registry value containing the related project file path from the following registry key:

Code: Select all

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Caphyon\Advanced Installer\Recent Document List
All the best,
