Passing properties to a merge module

I have a merge module, that amongst other things, sets up a number of registry entries. I would like to be able to control from a custom dialog in the msi that includes this merge module whether these entries are created or not. I've tried to do this by creating a configurable property in the merge module and passing a property value from the hosting msi. This doesn't appear to work, so I guess this approch is invalid. Any thoughts on how I can do what I want?

Updating my previous post! I have realised that I dont need a configurable property but should refer to the merge module property as property.guid and set it via the set installer property CA. Still doesn't work though!

Re: Passing properties to a merge module

Hello Phil,

Please take a look on the Pass parameters to merge modules forum thread which debates a similar subject.

Let us know if that helped.

This was what I had ended up doing. I must have been having a bad day - today everything was working without me changing anything!

Thanks,
