I got this error during the install of version 11.5 Installed over 11.4
Warning 1946 Property 'System.AppUserModel.ID' for shortcut' 'Advanced Installer 11.5.lnk' could not be set.
Yet my shortcuts seem to be working just fine.
More of a FYI than an issue.

This seems to be Windows Installer issue. There are shortcut properties included in the setup package which can be set only on newer OSes and they are not available on old OSes. Read Warning 1946 Microsoft support article for more details.
For example we set System.AppUserModel.NoPinToStartOnInstall when using the "Prevent auto pin to start" shortcut option.
This behavior is by design and you can safely ignore this warning message.
