1632 error

Server returned unexpected error 1632 attempting to install package and then it lists the msi temp file that it extracted from the exe.

I know this works on many other PCs, am having customer reboot, but I see no documentation on this error.

Any direction is appreciated.

Re: 1632 error

Hello,

The 1632 error is triggered when the "Temp folder is either full or inaccessible. Verify that the Temp folder exists and that you can write to it."

Can you please check if there is such a problem with the %temp% folder location on your end-user account?

All the best,
Daniel

Re: 1632 error

verify that folder c:\windows\installer exists or not
and if doesn't exist, create it

I just registered to add this note!

@HomayounBehzadian Thankyou thankyou thankyou! There is no way I would have figured out that the temporary folder it was referring to wasn't /AppData/Roaming/temp, which everything else uses!
