Registry error when test build

Mon Sep 12, 2016 6:04 pm

I get this error - I only changed an exe in the installer to a newer version.

Could not write value Registry.Name.FAA_5658_49AA_A41D_71074C8A5006 to key \Registry.Key.ProductVersion_1. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Hello,

I'm not sure why you are encountering this behavior. Can you please send us the AIP (project) files and verbose installation logs to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate them?

There aren't any known bugs related to registry entry creation.

Also, can you please tell us if the error persists on a clean OS ?

Best regards,
Dan

For info I recreated the installer pretty much from new (I used a backup) and that seems to have worked. However I do not actually know what the issue was in the first place.

Thanks!
