Hello and welcome to Advanced Installer forums,

I'm not sure why you encountered the this behavior.
In order to have a better view about this, can you please send us the .AIP (updates configuration project file) to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate it? If it contains confidential information you can send us a small test project which reproduce this behavior.

Best regards,
Dan

1.Create new Updates Configuration project.
2.Choose any one example program to target.
3.I didn't change any setting , just save this project to new file.
4.Reopen this project file , program will show error message.

you can see my attachments.

Re: V12.4.2 Can't open Updates Configuration project file

Hello,

I was able to successfully open the attached projects. Maybe there were some changes made to the Validation fragment from the resources of Advanced Installer.

Can you please tell us if the behaviour still persist after reparing Advanced Installer (run the installation package of Advanced Installer in maintenance mode and select the Repair option)? Also, can you please try to open the related projects on another machine where Advanced Installer is installed?

Best regards,
Dan
