Three digit version numbers useless

Please consider supporting 4 digit version numbers as Windows exe's support and Visual Studio Supports. Three digit as you use now are useless, with bi-daily or weekly builds we are ramping through version numbers at an enormous rate. We really need to start using 1.0.0.1 instead of 1.0.1

Auto Updater - Bug ?

I am using the Auto Updater in my project and it works quite well with the exception of one incident which occurred recently. I would consider this a bug. The filesize of the msi project on the remote server, I suppose via compression algorithms just happened to be the exact same size as the previou...

one more thing

One more thing,

Are we saying if a user just selects FULL then they are unable to change the destination path, so ALL users must go via Custom? I must say I realy dont understand this methodology.

Hmmmm

Our users are not very computer illiterate, and provding a "Custom" button will just confuse them. I want to lose the Custom button then just provide the other two renamed to one of their two choices, they CANNOT remove items from the install, they can just have one or the other. Having to...

Multi DVD builds and sizing

We are building projects with multiple DVDs in one install. The problem is your program is just using CD sized cabs to make up the DVD, which means that each DVD is only 3.8GB rather than 4.3GB. This is causing our projects to spill over into an extra DVD, while that that may not sound too bad, it c...

OK, I give up, where can i change the GUID's

I have an enterprise project and what I am trying to do is this. I have a very very large project which creates 5 DVD discs for the install. I have a similar product, but I dont want to create the whole huge project again, I want to just copy the first project, edit it, change the GUID's so its seen...

I have done a little more investigation into this and found the following. The program does not seem to be able to deal properly with source files which are hidden. The "files and folders" area seems to reflect the state of the actual source file, and shows them hidden, yet some hidden fil...

Quick Build

A quick build feature would be very handy, where none of the included files have changed, so the cabs do not need to be re-created, if I make a simple change to the install script, a full rebuild is needed which in my case takes 2 -3 hours due to the size of the installer (5 - 6 DVD-5) cheers nicw

Files missing after Save and re-load

I am a newbie and starting using this installer only yesterday, I have the Enterprise version. The install is fairly simple, 5 folders with 18.6 GB of assets in them and 34 files in the root path of the install. these 34 files consist of exe, ini, dll. The source folder is 11,607 files, with 108 fol...
