Welcome to the User Manual of Advanced Installer.
Advanced Installer is a Windows Installer authoring tool. It offers a friendly and easy to use Graphical User Interface for creating and maintaining installation packages (EXE, MSI, etc.) based on the Windows Installer technology.

- Detect or stop a service
Windows Installer does not offer support for detecting or stopping a service on the target machine. However, in Advanced Installer this can be done through a predefined custom action.
- Install resources based on the OS version
A complete installation package should be able to install an application on any version or type of Windows Operating System.
- Working with Advanced Installer from the Command Line
The Advanced Installer command line allows you to create, build or edit projects without using the graphical interface.
Advanced Installer is available in five editions: Freeware, Professional, For Java, Enterprise and Architect. The Freeware edition does not need registering and is free to use for both commercial and non-commercial purposes. The Professional, For Java, Enterprise and Architect editions have a trial period during which they can only be used for evaluation purposes. After this trial period, you must register the product or stop using it altogether.
