Yes, that is a very good featue and yes, we are planning to add it to AdvInst (along with other handy predefined launch conditions).

Thank you for your suggestion,

A small and mostly harmless hack is to create the table with ORCA directly in the template.msi file from AI's installation folder. That file is the base for all created MSIs.

Anyway, this will be fixed in the next release, due this month.

The Supported OSs feature is more like of a convenience, this is why it only covers the most common scenario: an Windows Version and higher. However, you can still refine this condition by editing the Launch Conditions directly. Read how at: http://www.advancedinstaller.com/user-guide/launch-conditi...

Hi Brian, The PublishComponent table should only be necessary if you need the Publish Components functionality (grouping components with parallel functionality into categories). Alas, Advanced Installer 3.4 does not include this feature right now - it is scheduled for the 3.5 release. We are also wo...

Hi Stephan, We did receive some fixes for the German translation but they should have been integrated a couple of versions ago. Please send in your corrections as well, if you have noticed the problems in the latest release. Send them to support at advanced installer dot com. The prerequisites are b...

This is too funny - two posts by two different users coming from the exact same IP address, one asking a question (anonymously), the other one responding by directing the user to a competitor's product. I removed the ad post, of course, but I left the first one. Guys, this is an Advanced Installer f...

The executable's translation work is under way. We got yours (thanks!) and I will send you an email regarding the remaining issues.

All the best,

Newly released 3.1 version crashes.

There is a crashing bug currently with running the 3.1 version manifesting on anything other than Windows XP SP2. We are working to fix it as we speak. In the meantime, if you encounter it, please download the previous 3.0.1 version from the following URL: http://www.advancedinstaller.com/downloads/...

Good news: the 3.0 version was just released, fully supporting MSI packages in languages other than English. Italian is already included, the French translation is under works and will be ready for the next release (3.1). Send us an email to support at advanced installer dot com if you'd like an ear...

Yes, we do, but they're not public.

The main feature in the 3.0 version is Localization of MSI packages - the ability to translate MSIs in various languages.
