Auto Updater Version Check

Does the auto updater check the version that is set in Product Details, or the version of the assembly?

I have a problem with an error message after successful updates and the next time the updater is run, it still shows the file checked for download. I thought perhaps this might be the cause.

Hi,

When "FilePath + Version" is used as installed condition the version is taken from the file. This condition is verified first to see if the update is already installed or not and a second time after installation to see if the update was installed correctly.

Thank you, I was using the version number of the msi and not the application's .exe. Problem solved.
