Why does the installer run every time I reboot? I want that If i successfully installed the service + prerequisites, then it doesn't get the setup page (for repair or remove) everytime i reboot.
how can I stop this setting?
Hi,
Mihai, I'm not sure you understood this question because this response does not address the issue at all.
I have the same issue.
I have an enterprise install with several prerequisite repackaged MSI installs.
After successfully completing the install, every time the system reboots the setup starts up in maintenance mode. There is no entry in HKCU/Software/MS/Win/Curr/Run for the setup (there is one for one of the services (tomcat6) that was installed, but it runs separately).
But regardless the setup begins in maintenance upon each restart and I cannot figure out why. The prereq wizard does not start, it just goes straight into the install in maintenance mode.
Any help you can offer would be appreciated as I am kind of hung up on this one.
Can you please send us the .AIP ( project file ) and a verbose log of the installation to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate them?
first of all:downgrade to 8.8.2 solves the Problem.
I saw the Problem only on a fresh Installed Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2
An existing Server didn´t had the Problem
Maybe this helps to find the Bug.
Attached are 2 Log Files (verbose)
setup is from the first run.
after_reboot = as the name says
We made some tests and found a bug regarding this problem in packages that are using Enhanced UI in version 8.9. We've made a fix, which will be officially
available in version 9.0.
To use it in 8.9 please download the following file and place it in the install folder of Advanced Installer 8.9 on your machines, replacing the original one. After
this restart Advanced Installer and rebuild the projects. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5392761/Advance ... rnalUi.exe
What install folder are you referring to?
I do not see ExternalUI.exe in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Caphyon\Advanced Installer 8.9" path.
Am I missing something here?
i'm having the same issues, but can't download the ExternalUI.exe from your link.
I can't update to a newer fixed version because our maintenance plan is expired.
