Can the serial key auto load?

Hello,

In Advanced Installer's User Registration Dialog, can the installer be set to automatically show the serial key without the need for the user to type it?

This is needed when the installer is given in CD/DVDs. If yes, then can the installer detect that the installer is executed through CD/DVD and show the serial key. If the installer is executed through hard-disk then hide the serial key?

Re: Can the serial key auto load?

Hello,

Unfortunately there is no predefined support for this functionality in Advanced Installer.

However, you can set an autorun command to run a custom .BAT or .EXE that does this:
http://www.advancedinstaller.com/user-g ... ialog.html

From within your custom .BAT or .EXE you will need to set PIDKEY which is the attached public property for the serial number control. Also, since this is a custom autorun you will also need to add a command that launches the installer afterwards.

All the best,
