ForceReboot Standard Action?

Can you add support for the ForceReboot Standard Action?

We have been using Advanced Installer for some time. Our package includes 3 drivers, and the PC must be restarted when upgrading. ForceReboot is the easiest way to accomplish this (I think).

Have you tried the "Force REBOOT after install" option in the Project Settings > Install Parameters page?

It should do exactly what you need.

Thanks for your response.

I believe we are after something different. The "Force REBOOT after install" setting will only cause a reboot at the very end of an installation or upgrade. We need to reboot during an upgrade installation with the following sequence:

- User runs upgrade NewSetup.msi (already has product installed)
- NewSetup.msi uninstalls old product / drivers
- ForceReboot to immediately reboot
- this allows our drivers to unload so we can install new ones.
- Installer resumes after reboot / login
- Completes installation of new product / drivers

Hi,

We add this on our TODO list and in a future version of AI this feature will be available. Thank you for your suggestion. As workaround I suggest you to add it manually with orca.
