Please explain Componet. I want to add several new enviromental variables with values that will show up in XP's System Variables on install but stumped on componet part of new Environment Variable.
Does the new envirinmental variable show up in system variables?

Hi,
All the resources in an installation package are organized into components. Therefore, when you create or modify an environment variable you need to include it into a component. This component can be any component in the "Organization" page (you can use the combo box to select one).

Yes, when you create an environment variable in Advanced Installer it will be created on the target system when the installation is performed.Does the new envirinmental variable show up in system variables?
